Shri Banke Bihari Temple

Village Gahrauli of Shri Banke Bihari Mandir Muskra development block, which is the most populated village of the district. Built in the year 1872, this temple is a unique example of Indian craftsmanship. In this temple, from the walls to the ceiling, the pictures of the deities have been painted through oil paintings. In the freedom struggle, this temple was the main center of revolutionary activities, from here the revolutionary newspaper “Bundelkhand Kesari” was published secretly. It is situated at a distance of 61 km from district headquarter and 9 km from Muskra.
