Jal Jeevan Mission “Har Ghar Jal Yojana”

Under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, drinking water is to be provided to every household in rural areas regularly. In the district, two projects are proposed to be constructed under the ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ scheme. Through which 355 revenue villages of 257 gram Panchayats of Hamirpur district are to be benefited.

Patyaura Danda W/s Scheme:- This scheme is based on surface water only. 148 revenue villages of 103 gram panchayats of block Sumerpur and Maudaha are to be covered by this scheme. In the scheme, 1 nos 45 MLD capacity intake well, 1 no 45 MLD capacity WTP, 46 nos Over Head Tank, 9 nos CWR, 306.096 km risingmans, and 905.703 km Distribution. 47940 house Holds of block Sumerpur and Maudha are to be benefited by proposed W/s Scheme.

Haraulipur W/s Scheme  :- There are two types of scheme included in this project:

Surface Water Scheme: – 39 revenue villages of 24 gram panchayats of block Kurara are to be covered by this scheme. In the scheme, 1nos. 9 MLD capacity intake well, 1 no. 8 MLD capacity WTP, 12 nos. Over Head Tank, 5 nos. CWR, 83.237 km. Rising man,181.126 km distribution. 9636 house Holds of block Kurara are to be benefited by proposed W/s Scheme.

Ground Water Scheme:- Under this scheme, 168 revenue villages of 130 gram Panchayats of block Sarila, Gohand, Rath and Muskra are to be covered. In this scheme 135 nos. tube wells, 123 nos. Over Head Tank, 6.83 km. rising man, 977.42 km. distribution. 53504 house Holds of blocks Muskra, Rath, Gohand and Sarila are to be benefited by proposed W/s Scheme.

For the promotion of the Har Ghar Jal Yojana  rural areas of the district, conducting public awareness activities among the community, depositing community contribution on the basis of public participation, setting up village drinking water and sanitation committees. Monthly fee (user charges) is to be taken from the consumers, opening account of committee with the joint signature of the gram pradhan and sachiv, for making the community aware for taking water connection, maintenance of drinking water supply schemes and for the preparation of village action plan etc., Rajya Peyjal evam Swachhata Mission (SWSM) Lucknow by 04 ISA/agencies (Chetna, near Allahabad Road Traffic Chauraha, Karvi Chitrakoot U.P., May Chitrakoot Seva Ashram, Mission Road Church Shatrughanpuri Karvi Chitrakoot Uttar Pradesh and Jeevan Jyoti Shikshan, Jan Kalyan Samiti, Aruna Park, Sakarpur Sadhara Delhi and Social Action for Rural Development and Advancement Agency) have been empaneled.
